We recently improved our support for PayPal to provide more functionality to coaches and athletes when paying with PayPal. Our PayPal integration now includes a new payment workflow that is easier and faster for athletes to use.
The improved PayPal support for athletes and coaches provides a number of features that simplify the payment process using PayPal. These features include:
- Refunds: As a coach you can now issue refunds directly from AthleteOne. You no longer need to need to go to PayPal to issue a refund.
- Automated Payments: The automated payments functionality has been updated to give athletes the control to sign up for automated payments, cancel automated payments or change the automated payment method. Coaches also have the ability to cancel automated payments for athletes.
- Improved Payment Workflow: The payment workflow for athletes has been improved and no longer redirects to a new page on the PayPal site.
- Authorization: The improved PayPal support allows the coach to authorize AthleteOne to access information about your account (such as contact details), issue refunds and view transaction details.
Automated Payment Update
The previous version of Automated Payment (gen1) is replaced with the New Automated Payments. While the original automated payments (gen1) will continue to work after you have setup the new PayPal integration, you are encouraged to cancel the athlete's subscription from PayPal and allow your athletes to setup new automated payments using the new integration. We expect to sunset and remove the original automated payments (gen1) by Dec 31, 2017.
